  • Dentistry

Dental health is a vital part of your pet’s overall well-being. Left untreated, plaque and tartar buildup can lead to painful gum disease, tooth loss, and even affect major organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

At Monash Veterinary Clinic, we provide comprehensive dental care under general anaesthetic to ensure your pet is comfortable and pain-free throughout the procedure.

    Our standard dental services include:

    - Full oral examination of every tooth

    - Probing and charting to monitor gum health and track disease progression

    - Ultrasonic scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar

    - Digital dental x-rays to assess hidden disease below the gumline

    - Pain-free extractions when necessary

Our goal is to treat and prevent dental disease before it becomes painful or advanced—keeping your pet’s mouth healthy for years to come.

  • Rabbit Desexing

At Monash Veterinary Clinic, we offer routine desexing procedures—castration for males and ovariohysterectomy for females—to support the health and wellbeing of your rabbit. Desexing helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces hormonally driven behaviours, and lowers the risk of serious health issues such as uterine and ovarian cancer.

    We recommend:

Male rabbits be desexed from 4 months of age

Female rabbits from 6 months of age

Our comprehensive rabbit desexing package includes:

Pre-anaesthetic exam to assess your rabbit’s health and fitness for surgery

IV fluid therapy to support hydration, circulation, and smooth recovery

Anaesthesia & pain relief tailored to keep your rabbit calm and comfortable

    Surgical procedure using dissolvable sutures

Professional post-op nursing care until your rabbit is eating independently

Pain relief injections and take-home medication for continued comfort

Critical Care feeding to maintain healthy gut function during recovery

Our experienced team is committed to providing safe, effective care for your rabbit in a calm, supportive environment.
