Payment requirements and options offered in clinic
FEES, PAYMENTS & INSURANCE OPTIONS
At Monash Veterinary Clinic, we understand that veterinary care—especially in emergencies or complex cases—can be an unexpected financial burden. Our team is committed to working with you to provide clear treatment options and support, so you can make the best decisions for your pet’s health and your budget.
Payment Information
Payment is due in full at the time of discharge for all patients. We ask that you communicate any financial limits to your veterinarian upfront, so we can tailor a treatment plan that suits your needs.
Pet Insurance Claims
We accept all pet insurance providers and are proud partners of GapOnly®—a system that allows eligible claims to be processed on the spot, so you only pay the difference (the “gap”) between your policy’s benefit and the total invoice. Be sure to bring your insurance provider’s name and policy number to your appointment, and let our Customer Services Team know if your insurer supports GapOnly®.
If your claim cannot be processed at the time of payment, we’ll supply all necessary documentation for you to claim directly with your insurer.

Finance Options
For those without pet insurance or facing larger veterinary costs, we offer VetPay and ZipPay as flexible finance solutions:
VetPay: Designed to cover both routine and emergency care. Once pre-approved, we can process claims directly in-clinic.
ZipPay: Available in-clinic, allowing you to split payments into 4 easy fortnightly installments.
We encourage pet owners to explore insurance and finance options before their visit to reduce stress and ensure timely care for their pet. For more information, visit the GapOnly®, VetPay, or ZipPay websites via the links provided on this page.
