Meet The Team

OUR CONSULTING TEAM

Andrew graduated from Melbourne University in 2006 and promptly headed to country Victoria to a busy mixed practice working predominantly with small animals and dairy herds. He headed overseas in 2009 and spent 3 years in a variety of vet clinics across the UK, before stopping off in Africa on the way home to help set-up an RSPCA supported veterinary clinic in Malawi.

After his return to Melbourne, he spent 10 years as the lead vet at a small animal clinic looking after families and their pets. He now joins the friendly Monash Vet team which is also a little closer to his own family, also based in Monash.

Andrew loves it when a plan comes together and is fabulous at determining exactly what is possible – and appropriate – for your pet. He enjoys the diversity of general practice and his client relationships.  He’s confident tackling a wide range of medical, dental or surgical challenges as a GP, as well as supporting our oldies to keep them comfortable and healthy. In addition, Andrew has undertaken AQIS Export training to prepare pets for travel overseas and has been assisting clients with pet exports since 2015.

When not in the clinic, Andrew and his wife are mostly running around after their two boys and the family's newest addition, Arrow, the Whippet.   He enjoys bouldering when he gets the chance and, as a keen scuba diver, is waiting for the boys to grow up a bit more so he can get underwater with them too.

Dr Dylan Hamilton BSc, GradDipAppSc(ME), MAppSc(ME)Hons, BVSc

Hailing from the rugged shores of Stewart Island in New Zealand's deep south, Dylan swapped fishing boats for veterinary science and has loved every minute.

Since graduating from Massey University, Dylan has chased sheep and cows in the border country of Wales, patched up horses in rural Victoria, and has even been a fish vet for aquaculture operations for a time!

Dylan is absolutely rapt to have joined the Monash team, and enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice with special interests in helping older animals to feel comfortable, and itchy animals to find relief.

When he doesn't have a stethoscope around his neck you might find Dylan out for a fish, getting grubby in the garden, or roaming the bush with his lovely wife Helen and their Pointer X Vizsla 'Argo'.

Victor embarked on his veterinary journey early on by jumping on a plane all by himself and studied at the University of Adelaide for 7 years. Victor has a strong interest in canine reproduction and surgery. He takes pride in ensuring clients are happy and pets are well looked after under his care. Victor believes that the key to producing healthy puppies is working closely as a team with breeders.
