Our Services

Monash Veterinary Clinic is a large clinic with a special interest in dogs and cats. We have state of the art facilities to carry out a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including:

  • Digital xray, ultrasonography, electrocardiography and endoscopy
  • Hospital facilities for medical and surgical cases.
  • Fully equipped surgical theatre with gas anaesthetic machines, blood pressure, cardiac and respiratory monitors and heated surgical table.
  • Both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery are performed.
  • Intensive Care Unit with oxygen tent, humidicrib, intravenous fluid pumps and blood transfusion facilities.
  • Cat boarding facilities.
  • Electronic scales.
  • In-house and external laboratory services for blood tests, cytology, liver and kidney function tests, faecal and urine tests.

In addition we provide special services including:

  • Breeding services, fertility examinations. Artificial insemination with fresh or chilled semen. Pregnancy diagnosis using ultrasonic scanning.
  • AQIS accredited veterinarians and services
  • Puppy and kitten care.
  • Puppy School.
  • The diagnosis and treatment of lameness, spinal conditions (including spinal manipulations) and arthritic conditions.
  • PennHIP and AVA screening radiographs for Hip Dysplasia.
  • Greyhound medicine and surgery.
  • Treatment of skin diseases.
  • Internal medicine.
  • Dental care and advice.
  • Dietary advice.
  • Hydrobath facilities.

Monash Veterinary Clinic regularly accepts referrals from other veterinary clinics. We are also happy to refer difficult cases to the University of Melbourne or to other specialist clinics when it is in the patient's best interest.
