Monash Veterinaty Clinic has been active in the field of Hip Dysplasia for 20 years. We are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of hip Dysplasia. We are able to provide the very latest in genetic advice for your breeding programs.

Our treatment regimes involves the use of antiinflammatory medications, Cartrophen injections, accupuncture, chiropractic therapy, nutrition and natural remedies, laser, physiotherapy, and magnetic field therapy.

Monash Veterinary Clinic has state of the art Xray machines and Xray processors. This allows us to produce very high quality hip Dysplasia radiographs. We guarantee our radiographs, and will repeat any not of insufficient quality to satisfy the readers. Both standard AVA (Willis), OFA, and PennHIP views can be taken. On site interpretations are given as to whether hips are good, fair, or borderline. We can provide scores for both hip and elbow radiographs. We use short acting anaesthesia and most dogs can be radiographed "while you wait". PennHIP provides breeders with very accurate information about the status of their dog's hips.

Elbow OCD

MVC produces high quality elbow radiographs for interpretation either on site or by the AVA elbow schemes. In chronic cases aggressive medical therapy and physiotherapy is used to treat the elbows. OCD surgery is successfully performed where needed. Breeding advice for elbow OCD is provided.
