The Clinic

Monash Veterinary Clinic is a large clinic with a special interest in dogs and cats. We have facilities to carry out many procedures including -

-X-Rays, Ultrasonic scanning, Electrocardiograph and Endoscopic facilities.

-Hospital facilities for surgical and medical cases.

-Fully equipped surgery theatre with gas anaesthetic machines and cardiac and respiratory monitors. Both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery are performed.

-Intensive Care Unit with oxygen tent, humidicrib, intravenous fluid pumps and blood transfusion facilities.

-Cat boarding facilities.

-Electronic scales

-Pathology laboratory for blood tests, cytology, liver and kidney function tests, faecal and urine tests.

In addition we provide special services including -

-Breeding services, fertility examinations, semen freezing and frozen semen importation. Artificial insemination with fresh or frozen semen. Pregnancy diagnosis using ultrasonic scanning.

-Puppy and kitten care.

-The diagnosis and treatment of lameness, spinal conditions (including spinal manipulations) and arthritic conditions.

-PennHIP - hip Dysplasia diagnosis

-Treatment of skin diseases

-Internal medicine

-Dental care and advice

-Dietary advice

-Hydrobath facilities

-Greyhound medicine and surgery

We stock a complete range of animal medications, including specially prepared diets for both dogs and cats and other pet accessories.

Monash Veterinary Clinic regularly accepts referrals from other Veterinary clinics. We are also happy to refer difficult cases to the University of Melbourne or to other specialist clinics when it is in the patient's best interest.

Consultation Hours

9.00 am - 8.00 pm Monday to Friday

9.00 am - 3.00 pm Saturday

10.00 am - 2.00 pm Sunday and public holidays

Consultations on Sunday afternoon and public holidays have a higher fee than normal. The clinic functions on an appointment basis. Please ring and make an appointment. Making an appointment helps the clinic run efficiently and avoids long waiting times. Emergencies are always given priority. House calls can be arranged but it is best to bring your pet to the clinic to take full advantage of all the facilities we have.

Fees

Fees are payable at the time of consultation or on the discharge of your pet. We do not run accounts. We accept cash, cheque, credit card or EFTPOS.

Our staff is extremely dedicated to providing the highest possible standard of animal health care. We are all pet owners too!
